2008 Governor's Golf & Fishing Classic
Kansas Wildscape will host our 12th Annual Governor's Golf & Fishing Classic in Junction City on June 13th and 14th. The golf tournament takes place on Friday, June 13th, at Rolling Meadows Golf Course, followed by the fishing tournament Saturday, June14th, on Milford Lake. This coming summer marks the fourth year we have been able to host our event in Junction City and at Milford Lake
We are currently looking for guides to participate in the fishing tournament on the 14th. In exchange for volunteering your services, boat, and tackle for the event, you will compete for prizes in the fishing tournament, as well as a few nice gifts from our sponsors. We provide breakfast and lunch on Saturday, and you will receive a gift card to a local service station as well as various other gifts. The guide of the winning boat receives $500 cash as well as a $100 gift card for each of the categories your team wins. This means that you could win up to $400 in gift cards.
We are also excited to honor our soldiers at Fort Riley. You can participate by sponsoring a soldier to take part in the Fishing Classic. It only takes $200 to sponsor a soldier. Additional event registration details will be posted at a later time.
